Two things to keep in mind while you read. First, American Emergency Funds is a lender-matching service, so most answers about rates, timing, and approval end with "your lender decides," because that's the truth. Second, every figure below is a range we see across the network, not a quote. The number that counts is the one in the loan agreement a lender shows you.
About the Request
No. American Emergency Funds is not a lender or a broker and does not make credit decisions or fund loans. We connect your request with lenders and lending partners in our network. Any offer you receive comes from a lender, and the loan agreement is between you and that lender.
The slider runs from $1,000 to $15,000 in $500 steps. Not all lenders in the network can provide up to $15,000, so the amount you choose is a starting point. A lender may offer less, or nothing at all, depending on your situation and their criteria.
Submitting the request on this site does not affect your credit score. Some lenders may run a soft inquiry when they review it, which is not visible to other lenders. A hard credit pull, if a lender requires one, would only happen after you choose to move forward with that lender on their own site.
We can't say, because we don't make the decision. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval, or a specific rate, term, or amount. Approval, APR, fees, and funding are determined solely by the lender. All credit types are considered, but consideration is not approval.
That depends on the lender and on your bank. If a lender approves your request, they will tell you their expected timing. Transfer times vary, and we have no way to speed them up.
Costs and Terms
No. There is no fee to submit a request and no fee if you are matched with a lender. American Emergency Funds may receive compensation from lenders or lending partners when a visitor is matched or funded. This compensation may affect which lenders appear in our network and how requests are routed.
Based on lender offerings currently available through our network, APRs may generally fall between approximately 5.99% and 35.99%, though lower or higher rates may be offered depending on the lender, the product, and your qualifications. The exact APR is disclosed by the lender before you accept anything. See the loan rates and fees page for worked examples.
Repayment periods offered by lenders in our network commonly range from 91 days to as long as 72 months, depending on the product. Your lender sets the schedule and shows it to you in the loan agreement.
Late or missed payments may result in additional fees or penalties, and may be reported to credit bureaus, as described in your lender's agreement. We don't have visibility into individual lender fee structures, so read that section of the agreement carefully before you sign.
Your Information
We share it with lenders and lending partners in our network so they can evaluate your request. That sharing is the whole point of the service. Our privacy policy explains exactly what is collected, who receives it, and the choices you have, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
By submitting your request, you agree to be contacted by American Emergency Funds and its lending partners by phone, text message, and email, including through automated or prerecorded technology, at the number and address you provide, even if it is on a do-not-call list. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time by following the instructions in any message you receive. The full text, including how to revoke consent, is on the TCPA consent page.
Reply STOP to any text message, ask to be removed during a call, or send us a message through the contact page. Revoking consent stops future marketing contact from us. Lenders you have already been connected with follow their own opt-out process, which is described in their messages.
